Amsterdam, like the rest of the Netherlands, has had some wet, snowy days this winter. But we are finally having some warmer days! What better timing to freshen up sneakers after all the snow and mud they've been through?
Footwear Care Lab hosted a sneaker-cleaning session at
Lola Lijn community center with the residents of the Sloterdijk neighborhood. We joined their bi-weekly Mending Evenings, where residents come together to repair their clothes and get to know each other.
We cleaned sneakers, mended sweaters and backpacks as we chatted and sipped on tea.
